Salud Center

As a result of POAH’s acquisition of the YMCA of Metropolitan

Chicago facility in 2019, Skender completed a 140,000 SF occupied rehab project to transform the historic YMCA building into a community center with 101 senior living units. New additions included flooring, lighting, plumbing trim in bathrooms and kitchens, and a TPO roof. The project also upgraded the boiler room equipment, replaced the facade EIFS, and repurposed the first-floor commercial space. The multi-phased project was delivered in an aggressive 8-month schedule and was WBE/MBE compliant.
